Livia Bianda is a menswear fashion designer, born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1992. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Menswear Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University in May 2015.
During her time studying at the Academy she have acquired many professional skills including conceptualizing, design development, construction, and originality whilst understanding the customers. Her passion for menswear apparel while leading a sporting lifestyle has directed her to create innovative and functional fashion designs. It’s dedicated to pushing boundaries of functionality and innovation through technique and achieving balance in wearability and design.
She was able to develop her skills further during her internship at Alexander Wang in Summer 2014, and was also able to apply these skills to her collection for senior year, which was fully inspired by the exaggeration of football player’s silhouette. She showcased her first collection to an esteemed audience at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, and was later chosen as CFDA+ Design Graduates in 2015.
Livia started her career with an internship at Adidas in Portland, Oregon, in Basketball Apparel Design after graduation, and further her knowledge through being chosen as the Apparel Design Trainee for Adidas in Herzogenaurach, Germany and Tokyo, Japan.
